Coding for the Greater Good
The Deep Dive Code-A-Thon is a community-focused event for developers to collaborate with other computer programmers and mentors to develop their ideas. It is a weekend hackathon where coders will come together, form teams, and build cool apps.
Participants that attend will be able to pitch ideas based on a community-minded theme announced Friday night. Then app ideas will be narrowed and participants will form teams to work together on a prototype. Everyone will have the weekend to build and develop a prototype to be presented on Sunday to the public.
Finally, the weekend will culminate with demonstrations in front of an audience of judges and senior programmers, with prizes awarded to the winning teams. The grand prize team takes home $2000!
The First Annual Deep Dive Code-A-Thon will begin March 16th, 2018. If you’re a developer and would like to participate, buy your ticket via Eventbrite.
Deep Dive Code-A-Thon is a hackathon style competition. Competitors will form teams and build an app in 40 hours. The winning teams will walk away with prizes, including a first place prize of $2,000 sponsored by Deep Dive Coding, a second place prize of $1,000 sponsored by Lyra Development, and a third place prize of $500 sponsored by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). ARFL is also generously providing breakfast and lunch to our participants on Saturday.
