Through access to counseling, financial aid, community services, and basic needs support, students are equipped to overcome challenges and stay focused on their goals, empowering them to thrive inside and outside the classroom.

Sue Andres — Success Bootcamp Manager

Sue Andres connects Deep Dive students with the resources they need to thrive during their bootcamp experience. From counseling and financial support to community services and basic needs assistance, she helps remove barriers so students can stay focused, supported, and on track for success.

CNM Student Services

CNM provides students with access to comprehensive career services designed to support their transition from education to employment. Students can receive personalized assistance with resumes, cover letters, interview preparation, and job search strategies, as well as explore career pathways aligned with their goals. CNM also offers opportunities to connect with employers through job postings, networking events, and career fairs.

To access these services, learners can visit the Student Workforce Success — CNM , call (505) 224-4000, or connect in person at the Main Campus for individualized support.

Wellness CNM

Support students with mental health, wellness, and various community resources, including the CNM Food Pantry.

Wellness CNM provides:

  • Access to free or low-cost counseling
  • Access to support groups
  • Help with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, stress
  • Help creating positive study habits
  • Assistance with food resources

Rust Opportunity Assistance Fund


If you experience an unforeseen financial situation, the Rust Opportunity Assistance Fund may be an optional resource.  The situation must be beyond your control and possibly prevent you from continuing your education. The Rust Opportunity Assistance Fund is intended to assist you to continue your studies and complete a CNM certificate or degree. Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and awarded accordingly. Your academic performance and progress in your program is an important factor in the final consideration.


CNM Veterans Resource Center (VRC)

If you are a veteran, our staff is dedicated to helping you succeed at CNM. We connect you with many services and departments found on campus as well as refer you to community-wide resources.

We provide the following services and programs:

  • Setting up appointments with academic advisors 
  • Registering for class 
  • Understanding your Veterans and GI Bill® benefits
  • Applying for financial aid and scholarships
  • Requesting transfer credits for previous experience 
  • Finding outside financial resources, housing, food assistance, and book loan programs 
  • Referring you to veterans counseling services and support programs
  • Access to meet with the VetSuccess Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor 
  • Food Pantry food assistance program 
  • LeadershipPlenty civic leadership program

Our programs include experiential learning opportunities where students can participate in hands-on activities while learning how to adapt to college and civilian life.
